Yesterday, by phone, I was told by my bank that the transfer was supposed to clear by 6:00 pm (EST) today. I just called and received confirmation that it's already cleared. So I'll instruct Grailzee, who has the watch, to release it to you. Thanks.

I've been told by the branch of the bank I use that their records do not indicate that the wire transfer has been received. I was told by my bank to check back in the morning. Thanks.

The account I provided to Grailzee can't be accessed through online banking. So, I have get confirmation by calling or stopping by a branch. So, when you're advised by your bank that the funds have been wired, please say so in the comments section and I'll contact my bank. Sorry for being so 20th Century.

Unfortunately, I can’t accept your $18.5K offer with a pending $20K offer. I understand that you’ll have to pay a premium to Grailzee and you want a new strap and have A Lange & Sohne do a tuneup. That still gets you the watch for significantly less than anywhere else. The reseller is offering me $20K because they’ll sell at retail for a profit.

I imagine the reseller will polish the watch, package it with one of their boxes and put it on sale for somewhere near $30,000.

There’s a reseller in Chicago who offered $20,000. I was hoping to get at least $25,000. That didn’t work out with this auction. So, my options are to sell it to the reseller or see if someone will match that offer or do better through Grailzee. Match the $20,000 offer and it’s yours. I’ve already invested $600 shipping it to Grailzee and paying for their premium auction service.

Basically, what I’m saying is you can’t buy this watch from a reseller for less than $28,000. So $22,500 is a great price.

Service: The watch was obtained from the estate of a deceased family member. He had an extensive collection of about 30 watches. I don’t know the service history. Based on the serial number, A Lange & Sohne claims the watch was manufactured in 2002. Strap: A new alligator strap from A. Lange & Sohne is about $500. Other companies sell very nice replacement alligator straps which will fit the watch starting at $150.
