As a watch dealer and former engineer I will admit that I like something different than most people. Ulysse Nardin Freak X Ti Black (Ref. 2303-270) certainly checks that box and is mesmerizing to watch run. This bridges an avant-garde “no-dial” carousel movement to a lightweight titanium black watch. That case utilizes Titanium with Black DLC for that matte black finish. The movement itself rotates around the dial every hour with the central bridge of the movement acting as the minute hand. The UN-230 provides a 72 hour power reserve and the addition of the crown for easier setting and winding, different from older models.
