Born in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronographs and the first to wear a square water-resistant case, the Heuer Monaco broke every rule of what a serious watch was supposed to look like. Two years later Steve McQueen strapped it on for Le Mans, and the square face became forever tied to speed, nerve and effortless cool. To wear one is to carry a little of that rebellion on your wrist, quiet but unmistakable. This 39mm stainless steel Monaco pairs a deep blue dial with a polished steel bezel and a crocodile leather strap, its automatic movement and 30m water resistance housed in a square silhouette that commands attention without ever raising its voice.
