Rolex phased out radioactive Tritium luminescent material. For a fleeting window between roughly 1998 and 1999, Rolex printed dials marked simply with "SWISS" at the 6 o'clock position before permanently transitioning to the standard "SWISS MADE" text. Because of this incredibly narrow production timeline, "Swiss Only" dials are highly sought after by collectors for their historical importance and absolute rarity. Although this watch does not come with papers the "Swiss Only" dial narrows this to 1999. The serial# also indicates circa 1999. This watch comes fully linked with 12 links and is in good condition and an absolute stunning timepiece.
