The gold hour and minute hands are skeletonized at the base and have Chromalight applied at the tips. The distinctive, rotatable ring command bezel is designed in classic Rolex fashion and features a trademark fluting pattern. 

The Oysterflex bracelet is made of elastomer, and it gives this watch a comfortable and sporty look. Rolex's exclusive Glidelock extension system with six notches of 2 point 5 mm allows the length of the Oysteflex bracelet to be adjusted up to 15 mm without tools. It also features a folding Oysterclasp in rose gold.

It features an automatic movement calibre 9001, one of the most intricate movements Rolex has ever produced. The movement is made to withstand everyday wear and tear and is shock-resistant. Additionally, the Rolex Superlative Chronometer and the COSC chronometer certifications have been earned by the Sky-Dweller. With a power reserve of up to 72 hours and a 100 meters water resistance rating.
