The seller represents this timepiece as being in very good condition. It fits a wrist size of up to 7.5 inches. It includes the boxes (inner and outer), a Pictograms card, additional items, and papers dated 2004.
The 3573.50.00 is the Speedmaster that collectors call the Sapphire Sandwich, and with good reason. Where the standard Moonwatch wears a hesalite crystal in deference to the original NASA specification, this reference fits sapphire crystals on both the front and the caseback, giving an unobstructed view of the Calibre 1863 movement, which is the reason this watch exists at all. A direct descendant of the calibre that rode to the moon on the wrists of Apollo astronauts, hand-wound, rhodium-plated, beating with 48 hours of power reserve, it has no Co-Axial escapement, no silicon components, no modern intervention; just the mechanism, the craft, and the history. The 42mm steel case carries the black dial with engine-turned subdials, tachymetric bezel, and luminescent baton hands in exactly the configuration that NASA approved in 1965 and has never needed to substantially revise. On the bracelet with alternating brushed and polished links, it wears with a presence that twenty years have only deepened. A Moonwatch with the caseback worth looking at is a rarer thing than most people realize.
