MB&F M.A.D.2 R&B (Red & Black), designed by Eric Giroud. Full set with outer box and accessories as pictured.
Round case, black grooved dial plate styled after a DJ turntable, two red discs on bi-directional jumping hour and trailing minute display, each read through a teardrop window instead of a hand. Automatic movement, La Joux-Perret G101 base with an MB&F-built jumping module, 4Hz, 64 hour power reserve. Caseback engraved "M.A.D Edition, Eric Giroud" and "It's a MAD world."
MB&F (Maximilian Büsser and Friends) is an independent horological concept lab, not a conventional manufacture. M.A.D.Editions is its accessible line, sold only by raffle. This design is Giroud's own, twenty years into designing for the brand, built around the Lausanne club MAD (Moulin à Danses) where he came up in the 90s rave scene. Limited to 1,500 pieces.
