The IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Black Aces (IW326905) is a 41mm aviation-inspired watch introduced in 2023 in collaboration with U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 41, the “Black Aces.” Its standout feature is the unusual fully luminous white dial, created using IWC’s Lumicast technology. In daylight, the dial has a crisp white appearance with black hands, numerals, and markers; in darkness, virtually the entire dial glows, creating a striking inverse effect. The case is made from black zirconium-oxide ceramic, measures 11.4mm thick, and features a convex sapphire crystal, screw-down crown, soft-iron inner case for magnetic protection, and 60 meters of water resistance. The Black Aces insignia appears at 6 o’clock, while the solid caseback features an engraving depicting an F/A-18 Super Hornet.

Inside is IWC’s Caliber 32100, an automatic in-house movement operating at 28,800 vph with a 72-hour power reserve, 21 jewels, and IWC’s ceramic-component Pellaton winding system. The watch was originally supplied on a black textile strap with a sand-blasted stainless-steel buckle. It is not a numbered limited edition, but its unusual full-lume dial and genuine military aviation connection make it considerably more distinctive than a standard Pilot’s Watch 41. The combination of black ceramic, full-lume Lumicast dial, 72-hour IWC movement, anti-magnetic construction, and Black Aces heritage makes the IW326905 one of IWC’s most distinctive modern Pilot’s Watches.
