This is a 48mm wide, 59mm lug-to-lug, 17.7mm thick, 270-gram behemoth, ready to rampage through your city and fight Godzilla for control of the planet. It isn't mild-mannered, quiet, or reserved. Few monsters are. If the size doesn't get your attention, the sheer mass of steel on your wrist certainly will. But beneath that hulking exterior lies an impressive piece of Swiss horological aggression. Powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 13 automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve, this beast features both chronograph and date complications. A heavily knurled crown is accompanied by textured chronograph pushers. Breitling designed these controls to be operated while wearing gloves. Ski gloves, welding gloves, steel foundry gloves, or whatever you happen to have lying around. This watch is ready for whatever you can throw at it. Whether you're flying an A-10, playing defenseman for the Blackhawks, picking up lumber at the sawmill, or wrestling grizzly bears in Alaska, the Super Avenger is ready for duty. It doesn't just tell time. It makes a statement. A statement that can be seen from space. Fit and sizing: If your wrist measures less than 7 inches, you need not wonder whether this watch is for you. It isn't. I'd barely recommend it for wrists under 7.25 inches. The bracelet is currently sized for wrists between approximately 7.25 and 7.5 inches, with two additional links included that should accommodate a wrist approaching 8 inches. Condition and performance: The watch is in excellent, retail-ready condition, with only extremely light handling marks on the caseback, bracelet, and clasp. The crystal and bezel appear free of any noteworthy scratches. The movement has been checked on a timegrapher with excellent results. The watch has also been pressure-tested by a professional watchmaker. The watch comes as a full set with box, manual, warranty card, and the aforementioned two links. This watch isn't for everyone. But it might just be the right one for you.
