The anthracite movement is displayed entirely on the front of the watch with a rose gold-plated finish, revealing its bridges, gear train, escapement, and the celebrated pare-chute shock absorber — a hand-chamfered steel device invented in 1790 to protect the balance pivot. A reduced black guilloché sub-dial hand-engraved on a rose engine sits at 12 o'clock with Roman numeral hour markers and open-tipped Breguet hands, while a power reserve indicator is mounted on the mainplate at 10 o'clock — mirrored again on the sapphire exhibition caseback.
