For sale is the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Up/Down (Ref. 234.026) in 18k white gold - a modern classic from one of the finest watchmakers in the world. Named for the birth year of founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the 1815 collection captures the essence of traditional Saxon watchmaking. The 39 mm white gold case is just 8.7 mm thick and frames a solid silver argenté dial with Arabic numerals, a railway minute track, small seconds, and the distinctive "Auf/Ab" (Up/Down) power-reserve indicator. Inside is the in-house Lange Calibre L051.2, a hand-wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve, finished to Lange's legendary standard with an untreated German silver three-quarter plate and hand-engraved balance cock - all on full display through the sapphire case back. It's fitted on a black alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold prong buckle. This 2019 example is in great pre-owned condition, with visible signs of wear on the case, bezel, and buckle. The dial, crystal, case back, and strap are clean with no visible wear.
