Mighty $ has risen against the pathetic £ again meaning I can take $109500 for the watch. Only available whilst the £ is shit!

£ has dropped against the dollar again….$110500 (that’s a left wing govt for you…)

Dollar has strengthened against the British pound so I’d take $111500 now.

Saw a 2022 Platinum up for sale here at $92000 which makes my 50th Anniversary clear back, at $115000 seem about right. Leaving Canada soon but the watch is staying in the bank.

Yes tried them…weren’t interested (surprising given they do a lot in the US with Hodinkee). Even sent them an independent valuation (126k USD/100k GBP) but they wouldn’t do it. Now looking at around 116k USD which makes it the cheapest I’ve seen for sale…all down to the market now.

You could be right. I’m happy to keep her as she’s so rare. Just need to find an insurance company who’ll cover me and I’ll wear it….(not in London!!) :)

I should add that I bought this watch in the UK in £ and as the $ keeps strengthening against the £ then it works out cheaper $ wise for any buyer.

I would take $110,000. That is the cheapest price from Chrono24 and others for this 126506 model. I’m only after what I paid for the reasons below.

Market is changing, thankfully. My 126506 is keenly priced (compared to Chrono24 & def eBay!). I’m not a flipper, bought in the UK, paid over RRP and essentially getting back what I paid. Waste of a watch to sit in a bank vault but I can’t wear it uninsured.

Yep, I can see them trading around $115k. The Daytona 126506 I can’t see with diamond baguettes though, not sure they do the 50th Anniversary (clear back) with diamonds…(though could be wrong).

Sure I get it. Can take a 1000 bucks off to lighten grailzee fees.

$117,000. Have had it independently valued at $125,000plus. Certainly not desperate to sell it even though I can’t wear it and it remains unworn. Had it resized in the store (links in the box), but as mentioned, I can’t get insurance & I’m clumsy as hell so haven’t risked it.

I’ve had the watch independently valued by a jeweller so happy to supply that paperwork should she sell. Saves you a couple hundred bucks getting it done for your insurance.

That’s very generous of you! 😊
December 2nd, 2024 at 2:32am
Should add the only reason I’m selling is because I live in a rented condo without a wall safe so no insurer will touch it. 😕

Otherwise known as the 50th Anniversary edition. (Might be more accurate!)
December 2nd, 2024 at 2:30am
Celebration Edition has the see through case at the back (photo shown). Most platinums have the solid case. Hope that helps?
September 11th, 2024 at 8:36pm
What year does the papers mention for the watch please?
September 7th, 2024 at 1:54am
Any change of px for a white gold 2019 Daytona blue face. Comes with papers and box etc?

No problem, thank you.

Because I lost one the exact same in the US last month. These are rare and whilst I’m pretty sure this one won’t be mine it was just in case. But as you’re not willing to give just the last 3 digits out there’s nothing more I can do.
July 17th, 2024 at 9:09pm
Are you able to confirm the last 3 digits of the Serial Number please? It should be on the watch located between the watch casing lugs at the 6 o'clock position. Thanks.
