I have both 16700 and 16710 Pepsis. Selling the 16700 to fund other purchases though it pains me to do so as it’s such a nice timepiece

Couple corrections on my previous comments: -non serif bezel (I mistakenly wrote serif bezel) -they did not make coke 16700s in 1996 (but they did make coke 16710s) so the original bezel color was either blue/red or black, but most likely blue/red as this was the dominant color combination.

For more (and better) photos of this watch click on my username, go to my wins, and select the auction on 12/18/23. This is the same watch.

In my opinion the watch appears unpolished. Case is thick. Lugs, case edges and crown guards are sharp. Bracelet shows minor signs of light wear and Rolex logo on the case is crisp. Hard to know if it was lightly polished at some point in its 28 years of existence.

My original intent was to have this watch as part of my collection but I purchased a similar watch (16710 Pepsi) shortly thereafter and ultimately decided to sell my 16700 to help fund the purchase of a 16520 Daytona. Other than trying it on and wearing around the house for a day it has lived in my watch roll since purchase.

I don’t know for sure. I’ve only owned it for four months. Purchased a 16710 Pepsi so I don’t need two Pepsis. It keeps as good (or better?) time as my 2 year old submariner that I purchased from an AD. Super impressed with this 28 year old watch.

Full disclosure I won this watch on Grailzee on 12/18/23. You can look it up on the Grailzee website under completed auctions (search by Rolex gmt master) for additional photos of the watch. Of note, the watch was listed as very good condition at the time and I have not used the watch since purchasing it. It has been authenticated twice in 4 months.

Further clarification on the bezel…this is a nice example of a serif bezel (snowman 8, flat 4) that is correct for a 1996 16700 and was also used as a replacement bezel by Rolex for 16700 and 16710 (and still is used by Rolex service centers). Many gmt enthusiasts have multiple bezels for their watches and use them interchangeably (coke, Pepsi, black).

I don’t know if the bezel is original to the watch. Coke and Pepsi 16700s are identical watches, impossible to know what color the original bezel was in 1996. This may even be the original bezel.

I don’t know if it’s the “original” bezel. I do believe it’s an authentic Rolex bezel and not aftermarket but have no way to prove this other than it’s correct appearance

This is a very nice, clean and crisp 16700. Full links. Tight bracelet. Happy to answer any questions about the watch (to the best of my ability).

Wondering what you’re looking to get out of this piece. This is the second time it’s been listed and didn’t meet reserve. I can think of a few reasons it’s not fetching $12k like similar watches that are 100% original. This is a sub $10k watch imo. Perfect daily driver.
