The 44.5mm black zirconium oxide ceramic case pairs with Ceratanium pushers and crown, IWC's proprietary alloy that combines titanium's lightness with ceramic's scratch resistance, a material specification that goes well beyond aesthetics. The black dial carries the Royal Maces squadron patch at 6 o'clock in the small seconds counter, yellow day-date indication at 3, and a yellow-tipped central chronograph seconds hand, color details that connect directly to the squadron's livery rather than existing for decoration. IWC-manufactured calibre 69380 powers the column-wheel chronograph automatically across 231 components with 46 hours of power reserve, Côtes de Genève and perlage finishing visible through the grade 5 titanium caseback engraved with an F\/A-18E Super Hornet and the official VFA-27 denomination.
